At least 4 million people will run out of water when that happens. Residents of Cape Town are facing an increasingly dire situation: in less than three months, they will need to stand in line to receive individual allotments of water. At present, those living in the city have been asked to limit themselves to 87 liters of water per day, or 23 gallons. On February 1, that number will drop to 50 liters (13 gallons). For context, the average American uses around 100 gallons of water per day — more than seven times what Capetonians will be asked to use. Plans for “Day Zero” — the day when taps will run dry — are even more strict, with each person limited to 6.6 gallons of water. Police and other officials will be on hand to direct crowds and contain anticipated protests and backlash. The system gives the agency access to billions of license plate records and new powers of real-time location tracking, raising significant concerns from civil libertarians. The three-minute ad shows a "social experiment" in which a Burger King store implements a Whopper "fast lane." Anyone not willing to fork over $26 was forced to wait longer for their meals. Customers who refused to pay any surcharges had to wait as long as 15 to 20 minutes. The ad, called "Whopper Neutrality," was meant to parody (with burgers) what advocates say repealing net neutrality regulations will do to the internet -- allow service providers to favor some websites and apps over others. President Trump's Federal Communications Commission moved to put an end to Obama-era net neutrality rules in December, giving the issue renewed public attention. The Burger King customers who appeared in the ad were understandably not pleased. "You can't give me the sandwich? It's ready but you can't give it to me?" one angered patron asks. According to him, flying commercial would require him to rub elbows with “a long tube of demons” and real people who might want him to pray for them… These rich preachers justify their jets to themselves and to their sheep with the most outrageous stories. The men of God need to concentrate on God and being bothered by people and demons would just mess things up. They couldn’t do ministry without them.
